This trip will take us up to one of the most scenic alpine valleys in Japan, and home to a long alpine climbing history. The walk is not strenuous, following a river most of the way before climbing out of the river valley up into Ichinokura.
In total the hike is approximately 7km with a total of 200M of elevation gained. The riverside walk is very peaceful, and this valley is home to a large population of Kamoshika (Japanese Serro) as well as monkeys, so there is a good chance of seeing some wildlife on this walk.
We'll have lunch at the top of the valley with amazing views, and the trip leader will provide everyone with some hot drinks before heading back to the van.
The trip will finish off at one of our favorite hot springs Suzumori-no-yu with an outdoor bath in the snow, and some time for a beverage of your choice before heading back to Tokyo.
