We have resumed trips from June 20th after having all trips suspended from March 23rd to June 19th.
All participants will have the temperature taken via a no contact forehead thermometer at the beginning of each trip. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5 degrees or higher will not be permitted to join and will be given a full refund or trip credit.
We care about health and safety and are implementing the following policies for our trips and will update things based on government and industry standard updates.
All gear and vehicle surfaces will be sanitized after each trip, and we will constantly monitor staff health and will cancel trips if the state of emergency in Japan is resumed.
Weekend Group Trips
・For our weekend group trips we will only take group members who are currently residents in Japan, no short term travelers.
・Please do not join a trip if you have traveled abroad in the last 14 days, been in contact with someone infected with Covid-19 in the past 14 days OR are showing symptoms of Covid-19; Temperature over 37.5, loss of smell or taste, cough. You can cancel with no fee OR rebook for a later date.
・Please refrain from joining if you are over 65 years old OR have any underlying health issues that put you in a "high risk" category for Covid-19.
・All group members are required to bring a mask to wear while traveling with the group, and during all rest stops along the way. Mask is not required while hiking and climbing, but safe social distancing (2 meters) should be maintained.
・Mask should be carried while hiking and if we meet other hikers and social distancing cannot be established, our group will put on masks while the other hikers pass.
・Trip leader will provide hand sanitizer for all participants to use when joining the trip, after all stops, and before meals during the event.
・Group size will be limited to 6 people per trip so no one will sit directly next to anyone while traveling in the KA van, this will be implemented through the end of July, and possibly longer.
・The only stops we will make while traveling will be at highway rest areas, no hot springs, or local shops. Please make sure you have everything you need for hiking in advance to minimize time at the rest areas.
Mt. Fuji Trips
Overnight trips with hut stays on Mt. Fuji will not be possible this year as all of the routes and huts are officially closed, so there will be no facilities available for overnight trips during the 2020 season
Group Fuji Trips- All Group Mount Fuji trips have been suspended for the 2020 season.
Private Fuji Trips- From June 1st overnight climbs with tent stay are possible. One day trips may be possible depending on road access to the 5th station, but most likely 1 day trips will only be possible in June, September, and October.
