3/15 (Sat) Gunma Hotaka - Intro to Snow Mountaineering
Gunma Hotaka is an amazing beginner level snow climb starting at the top of Kawaba ski area and climbing along a beautiful snow ridge over multiple sub peaks until reaching the pyramid summit. We will review the basics of crampon and ice axe use before starting the climb and hone those skills throughout the day. The entire climb is above tree line with amazing views thanks to the gondola that will whisk us up to the start of the climb. 14,900円 +tax (Transportation, crampon and ice axe rental, lift ticket, and Coco Heli rental included) |

3/20 (Thu) Tanigawa Dake Summit Snow Climb
This is an entry level snow hiking trip up to the summit of Tanigawa-dake. This peak offers amazing alpine scenery with sharp snow covered peaks all around. You will find it difficult to think that you are in Japan. The gondola will whisk us up high on the mountain, so we'll be climbing basically above tree line the entire time with great views throughout. To make things even more exciting we'll be sledding back down the mountain making short work of what took a lot of effort to get up having great fun in the process. 14,900円 (+tax) (Transportation, crampons, poles, sled, and lift ticket included |

6/29~7/7 (Sat~Sun) Slovakia - High Tatras - 5 Day Trek
This year we are going to be heading to Poland and Slovakia for a 5 day trek in the High Tatras on the Slovakia side. We will base out of the historic city of Krakow before heading south for our trek. Every day will feature amazing views of the high peaks, alpine lakes and lots of opportunities to see wildlife as well. The huts and mountain hotels are all fantastic with great food. As always we are planning trips to avoid the crowds in lesser known destinations but with fantastic scenery and this one checks all the boxes. 103,500円 (+tax) (Local Transportation, lodging, 8 and meals included) |
