1/11~12 (Sat~Sun) BC Ski Intro and Avalanche Awareness - Partner Rescue Clinic
This course follows the American Avalanche Association's Avalanche Awareness Course curriculum to teach the basics of partner rescue using a beacon, probe, and shovel. This course is great for those with previous avalanche rescue training and want to brush up on the search and rescue skills before the season starts and good for those looking to get a taste of avalanche safety training before moving into a full certification course. We will hold this course at Kagura and spend both days in the backcountry area up top getting some skiing in at the same time we are practicing, so it will also be a good opportunity to work on your BC skills as well. *Beacon, probe and shovel are required and rentals are available. 35,000円 (Transportation, 2 days lift ticket, 2 nights lodging and avalanche rescue instruction included) |

1/18~19 (Sat~Sun) Urabandai Ski and Snowboard Weekend
We are headed up to a less crowded ski area on the backside of Bandai-san, and will head to two different resorts on the weekend. The plan is to head to Alts Bandai and Nekoma resorts which are now connected by a lift making for a huge resort with good snow conditions, and the possibility for some off piste tree runs. Also we will visit Gran Deco which is rebranding itself last year opening up new tree runs and an ungroomed slope for beginner to intermediate levels and the summit backcountry area which requires some climbing to get up to. We'll be staying in a mountain cottage, and cooking up some great dinner and breakfast, and some drinks for Saturday evening. 1/25~26 (Sat~Sun) Nozawa and Madarao Ski Weekend
For this weekend we are heading to two amazing powder resorts, Nozawa Onsen and Madarao Kogen. There are also plenty of side and back country options available here as well. This trip will be based out of Nagano City to keep the costs reasonable. Saturday we plan to spend the entire day at Nozawa with some Apre Ski time in the village as well for onsen before heading back to Nagano. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars in town for the evening. 2/8~11 (Sat~Tue) Tohoku Powder Heaven Adventure
One of our yearly favorites with a new resort added! We are heading to Iwate and Akita Prefectures to get away from the tourist crowds and ski some of the best powder resorts in the country. Appi, Geto Onsen, Amihari Onsen, and Hachimantai Resort. We will be basing ourselves in Morioka for 3 nights in the city where there are great beer and sake breweries. This trip has always been popular. We are not deciding any of the resorts we will be visiting and will make a decision based on snow conditions when we get up there for the weekend.
