This hike features 2 peaks and a nice ridge walking section above the Fuji 5 Lakes. We will start hiking from the shores of lake Saiko hiking up through the forest to the summit of Kenashi-yama (毛無山) The ascent is gradual and not to strenuous. From there it's a gentle ridge walk over to the summit of Jyu-ni-ga-dake (十二ヶ岳) which has some amazing views of the 5 lakes and Mt. Fuji. The hike also features an exciting suspension bridge over a ravine!
Total elevation gained during this hike is about 600 meters, there are a couple of short chain sections, but nothing really technical. Total distance hiked is 7.5km. You are also welcome to take a dip in Lake Saiko before heading to the brewery to cool off, but pack some extra clothes just in case you decide to go for a swim.
We will head to the Fuji-zakura brewery for post hiking beers and your first one is on us!
