The ski resort at Hakkai-san receives on average 10 meters of snow per year, making this a great powder destination. The resort has 792 meters of elevation and there are plenty of side country and back country options available as well as tree skiing. There's not a lot of beginner terrain so this trip is recommended for intermediate to advance skiers and riders.
We will stay at Hiker's B&B on Monday night so we can get an early start to drive up to the resort before any traffic jams, which means a departure around 5 a.m. and a stop for coffee and breakfast along the way.
We will have the full day to enjoy the slopes at this Prince Resort, and will depart around 4 p.m. stopping by a hot spring to warm up before making the drive home.
