For our last (non-snow) trip of the year we are heading out to Shizuoka prefecture for a loop hike on Kenashi-yama located above the Asagiri Highland. The views from this hike are amazing with a snow covered Mt. Fuji right in front and typically clear weather in December. The hike is not technical but covers a total of 8km with 1,100 meters of elevation gained and lost making for a good work out with amazing views as a reward.
This loop will take around 5~6 hours to complete but will be worth the effort.
After the climb we head to Anmo-no-yu (天母の湯)a great hot spring with indoor and outdoor baths and views of Fuji.
