Myougi-san is a smaller mountain at just 1,103 meters, but it is a very dramatic mountain of multiple rocky peaks jutting out of the surrounding landscape. This hike is not a super long hike at just 7km, but what it lacks in distance it makes up in adventure as we climb along the Omote-Myougi Route a classic challenging traverse.
Our route will start and end at the Myougi Shrine which should have it's Sakura in full bloom. We'll have time to explore the temple shrine and take photos after the hike.
Throughout this climb there will be a lot of scrambling, climbing, and high adventure traverses. Higher up on the mountain you will be using chains more of the time than not using them. For extra safety we will provide helmets and harnesses with tethers for everyone to protect against any potential rock fall or disastrous slips.
After the climb, we'll head to a hot spring to relax before making the drive home.
