Myougi-san is a very craggy mountain with sharp peaks, and various rock outcrops that you typically don't expect to find on a mountain with such a low elevation. The contrast between the stone and fall colors makes this a great destination for getting photos of some of the best fall scenery in Japan.
The hike is easy from a fitness point of view but there are some chain sections with a little bit of exposure in some rocky sections that make it a bit adventurous (no chain level 1 route also available around these sections). Along the way, we'll pass by quite a variety of different shaped rocks, including a giant arch, and a hammer rock. The long chain sections can be skipped via an easy normal hiking path, so if you worried about these sections, you are free to skip them and take the easy path.
After finishing this hike, we'll head to Momiji-no-yu Onsen, to warm up and relax after the hike with a perfect view of Myougi-san from the bath.
