Finish off the Golden Week holiday by staying local and spending a day on the water canoeing and a lake-side BBQ. Naguri Lake is just a short distance from Tokyo, and is the gateway to the wilderness of the Chichibu area.
We will be renting handmade wooden kayaks from the Naguri Canoe Workshop and will start off with a short lesson of how to control the canoe. The person in the back of the canoe is actually the driver, and everyone will get the chance to take control of the driver's seat. We'll paddle around the lake and have a look at the local nature and wildlife.
We'll finish canoeing in the early afternoon and get the charcoal going for a great afternoon BBQ.
