Don't let the name Numazu Alps fool you, they bear no resemblance to their counterparts in the Japanese Alps, or the even larger European version. The largest peak in this mountain "chain" is 390 meters. What you will get on this hike is amazing views of Mt. Fuji, the Pacific Ocean, and the Izu Peninsula. The hike is fine for beginners and you do not need any special trekking shoes. It may be cold in Yokohama and Tokyo, but expect a moderate fall day in Numazu.
This will be a 10k one way hike crossing 4 of the 6 peaks of the Numazu Alps range. Overall it is not a difficult hike, but there will be an occasional chain and rock section to keep things interesting.
The hike will end at the Baird Fishmarket Taproom where a cold pint of craft beer will be awaiting you at the end of the hike. Before returning home we will hang around the Taproom and enjoy sampling the beers available as well as their fantastic bar menu.
