On this trip we are going to head out to the South Alps to a river gorge that has been kept relatively secret. Our hiking path will follow along the river. We'll have the opportunity to see and photograph 5 major waterfalls including a great 2 tiered falls.
We've timed this trip to be at the peak of the fall colors, so bring your camera because this will be a great trip for photography. This is not a difficult hike, but the views throughout are quite good.
The total hiking distance is approximately 7km and will take about 4 hours to complete.
After this hike, we will head to Ojira Hot Spring which features a number of indoor and outdoor baths from various spring sources. This will not be a rushed trip, and there will be plenty of time to relax in the hot spring.
