It's time to celebrate the end of a great hiking and climbing season, and time to welcome winter which brings us a whole lot of new adventures. This trip features a stay at our new Hiker's B&B in Hanno, a huge Thanksgiving meal complete with a fried turkey, and a hike to work off all that food on Sunday. This will be a trip to enjoy great company, eat good food, and relax in the mountains.
Our annual Thanksgiving event has been off the last couple of years, but it is time to restart things. We will only be accepting 12 people this year.
The cabin has great ammenities including a huge kitchen, great wood stove, tons of space, outdoor decks and balcony, and a hot showers for everyone's enjoyment.
The Menu:
-Turkey - Deep Fried
-Mashed Potatoes
-Lots of Seasonal Vegetable Dishes
-Cranberry Sauce
-Pumpkin Pie / Sweet potato Cobbler
-Spiced hot apple cider and bourbon
-Lots More!
*There will be a number of vegetarian items (lacto-ovo)
The Hike
We will be able to catch the fall colors in the Okumusashi mountains on this hike. The hiking route is currently under consideration and this page will updated as soon as we have it decided. The Kanhashu Viewpoint will be a part of this hike with a 360 degree view of the whole Kanto Plain and western mountains.
After the hike there will be the option to head to a local hot spring to finish off this weekend in style.
